What is your Purpose?

Your purpose is to be YOU. Who are YOU? Good question. From my experience my mind thinks I am and/or should be a lot of things. It thinks my purpose is this and that, and other people also have their own ideas of what my purpose is. Really though I’m here to survive (number 1!) and try to live my design…and if I can do that then I might survive for a while and actually be healthy and satisfied. The worst thing we can do is try to change where we are defined, and make decisions with our mind and open centers. I still make decisions with my mind. I’m more aware now than before I found Human Design though. I usually catch myself before, during or eventually after. It’s all part of this experiment. Getting acquainted with our mind’s obsession to be a dictator. The dictator (mind) loves to tell us what our purpose is, but it’s not actually YOU at all. Crazy to think the majority of the world is running around living out their mind’s and other people’s purposes for themselves, right?

Why is Human Design an ‘Experiment’?

The whole thing with HD is to get into your body and out of your mind. To get away from beliefs (super scary I know!) and be in-tuned with the energy in your body and how it’s guiding you to what/who is healthy for you and alert you to what/who is not. We spend so much time and money looking to others for guidance. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes we need it! But, is it our mind telling us we do or our body? That is the question. With HD, once you understand the basics you can enter into this ‘experiment’ of verifying for yourself how the energy in your body works. And, use your own body’s inner authority to make decisions that are healthy for you. It sounds complicated (and it can be), but at the root of it, it’s not…this is why I love introducing people to the basics of HD. Giving them the blueprint for the energy in their body and enough knowledge to get going, without becoming too overwhelmed with the details and complexity of it all.
